Fife's Spirit of Christmas Appeal 2015

On Friday 27th November 2015, our Treasurer Carrie, went on a shopping trip to purchase selection boxes to donate to The Fife's Spirit of Christmas Appeal.

"Imagine......waking up as a child on Christmas Day to no toys, gifts or a hot meal."

The appeal was set up last year by some local woman volunteers to help children in need living within the region of Fife at Christmas. They are working with a variety of other groups in Fife to try and provide christmas gifts for children who may wake up to nothing. Some of the groups are The Cottage Family Centre, Fife Womens Aid, Fife Young Carers, Family Community Support Team - East Fife and Levenmouth, Gateway - Levenmouth, Woodlands Nursery and Family Unit and various Fife Council Social Work Departments

This cause touched our hearts and we decided that we would try and help if we could. After contacting the organisers, the board members agreed to donate the selection boxes so the best bargain was sought and 206 were purchased and delivered.

Lets hope this donation can help bring a smile to some children's faces this christmas.
